I've recently found this organization called Bead For Life. I think it's a great thing and so I wanted to share it with you guys. Bead For Life helps women in Uganda create income for themselves by selling their handiwork. The women create jewelry from recycled objects such as magazines and the end result is absolutely beautiful! It's amazingly simple. The jewelry is made by Ugandan women and is then sold either through the organization's web site or by women in the States throwing Bead For Life parties. You invite women to your home to learn about women in Uganda and then give them an opportunity to buy something made by these women. There's no profit to be made by the host...your simply a pipeline...a bridge between the work of these women's hands and the income they deserve for it! It's so great! Check it our for yourself.
